We created Shuswap Soul to show our love for the Shuswap. From Blind Bay, Celista, the Narrows to Scotch Creek and Tappen, Shuswap Soul celebrates the place we love to be.
But where did the idea come from? I'm Riley and I am 13 years old. Last summer, I was sitting on the end of the dock and asked my mom if I could start a business. I wanted to buy a hockey stick and needed to find a way to earn some money to do that. We spent a lot of time talking about what kind of business, what I could sell, how I could manage it. Inspiration struck. I have a friend in Calgary who was designing and making cool shirts and I wanted to do the same.
So fast forward a few months. I drew out my ideas, figured out how and where to sell, where to get my product, set up an online shop. Guess we'll see what happens next, it’s launching. Samples arrived and my mom helped me take some photos.
