One of my favourite events in the Shuswap happens on Canada Day - it's the South Shuswap Canada Day Festivities and Fireworks in Blind Bay. We've been going for as long as I can remember. There is usually a parade that starts the day and local businesses make some pretty creative floats along with classic cars. There are usually hundreds of people out to watch and then follow the parade to Centennial Field where there's a market, live music, food trucks, games and activities all day long.
